Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sattu maavu
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (such as almond or peanut butter)
  • 1/4 cup jaggery or honey or sugar
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or cashews)
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (such as raisins, dates, or apricots), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, dry roast the Sprouted sattu maavu for 3 mins on low heat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the roasted sprouted sattu maavu, nut butter, jaggery or honey or sugar, shredded coconut, chopped nuts, dried fruit, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined and form a sticky dough.
  4. Using your hands, roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Place the energy balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Once firm, transfer the energy balls to an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  7. Enjoy these nutrient-packed energy balls as a quick and convenient snack whenever you need a boost of energy!
