Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sattu maavu
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cup milk (or plant-based milk for a vegan option)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter or oil for cooking


Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sprouted sattu maavu, mashed banana, milk, honey or maple
    syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Add the baking powder and a pinch of salt to the batter and mix until evenly incorporated.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the skillet and spread it out into a round shape.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 2-3
    minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more butter or oil to the skillet as needed.
  7. Serve the pancakes warm with your favorite toppings such as fresh fruit, yogurt, or maple syrup.
